Last Saturday I attended a gathering of associates and a few SSJs to look at our spiritual gifts. It was an incredible morning. Our presenter was lively, animated, and full of the spirit. It gave me a good reminder to not discount any gifts I have to share or any ideas of what I could be doing so quickly as I sometimes do as being something I can't do. But. it was an interesting morning looking at the gifts we have vs the gifts we thought we had and where in the middle they might meet. So...now I will continue to see where God leads me with those that came up. After the session I took a nice walk with one of the sisters, which was good....much needed exercise and prayer and conversation. :)
Tomorrow is our next associate gathering for those discerning associate membership., It should be nice...wonder how much I remember...hmm????? Sr. Mary Ann is giving this next talk...so, it should be a good morning.
My parish finally has been blessed with the assignment of a new pastor. I think Fr. Bill will fit nicely into our family and be very excellent. I am also in the running for parish council. I'm not sure who nominated me, but i'm excited about the possibility of helping bring some new life and vitality to things and new vision. :) So...we shall see what happens there as this weekend is elections. yesterday I was blessed with a visit with one of the members of my prayer group after Mass who I don't get to talk to one on one very often, so it was good. then it was home to do laundry and all that other good stuff!!! :)
