Well....the past weekend was VERY full!! Saturday was our second session with those going through the associate formation process. It was very cool!! It was on our mission and ministry. Always a good reminder of what we should be about. UNITY!!!!!! so hard to find...yet, so necessary in this world. So, had a good time visiting with everyone.
Sunday was a beautiful day and a trip to Rochester with Srs. Mary Helen and Rita. It was an awesome intercommunity day (one SSJ and a Mercy). We traveled up to visit a priest who was a mutual friend of theirs. It was a good day of visiting, learning, laughing, and just enjoying company. It reminded me of what I love about both of the communities that have helped for me. And gave me hope for the future of religious life. Both of the sisters are very hopeful for the future. I pray that more women will feel drawn to the religious life and see it for the awesome witness it is in todays world. All in time.....
Next weekend will be another day for associates to gather together to learn and grow. So...it will be good. Then that Sunday I meet with the new associate to be to ponder the mission and ministry of unity and all that that means to each of us. It has definetly taken many faces over the years for me. Though I can't say that I've always sown unity as well as I might have been able to. My prayer is that I will continue to grow in that mission and charism as I continue to discern God's will for my life!
