Remembering Philly and the onto the new

This weekend my sister Holly came home for a visit with her boyfriend. We had a good time on Friday popping Popcorn and watching Blades of Glory. It was a funny movie, though I must say I got more laughs out of Nacho Libre... Nacho.......Nacho....... But, it was good to laugh as always and the popcorn is always a bonus! Saturday we went to Steak and Shake and then came home to watch Rocky Horror. Though, I'm not quite sure why we watch it anymore since most everyone falls asleep! But...it also got me to smile..I still remember starting to sing a not so tasteful song with one of the other young women when I was on a discernment retreat and we both stopped short realizing that we were around a bunch of sisters. (later...we found out several were Rocky Horror fans!) Sunday we watch the Steelers game at the Movie Theater. I thoroughly enjoyed the free popcorn and drink though i'm still not a fan of hte game. Though I must say i enjoy knowing hte score so I can keep up with my male clients and their teams. Then we went to a corn maze and searched out Spongebob and friends. Though it wasn't as cool as the one we went to in college where a friend of ours happened to be working at it and followed us singing...but, we had no clue who it was at first.

Yesterday I was out on the town with my friend Heidi. I ordered a Daquri to drink...(strawberry..yum!!!!) and she tried the strawberry bananna. So it was good food...good company..good conversation and just chilling. I had almost forgotten how much I really enjoy her company. Though, we have very different frames of reference at times. I am a bit more easy going than she.

I am also on the ballot for Parish Council...so, we shall see what happens. Elections are next week. Knowing the other candidates I am not sure I will stand much of a chance. But....if i were elected...I definetly have a lot of vision and can see a lot of ways we could branch out..just would have to carve my own way. And i would be excited to help give a younger voice to the council. And in any case I am honored and humbled to be nominated. It was a total surprise as someoen I don't know very well asked me out of hte blue if he could nominate me. I was like woah........But..may God's will be done.
