Unity: Living it Everyday
by Sr. Kelly Smock
With the Christmas season ended, we
may find ourselves feeling “blah.” As we
take down our decorati ons and enter back
into ordinary me, I find it is important to
remember that it is actually anything but
ordinary. Every day is Christmas!
When we connect with those we love
in the ordinary of these days, it is
important to look for the presence of God
in each of those moments. The simple act
of sharing a meal can be greatly transformed when we see it
as an expression of our unity and a celebration on of that
oneness we proclaim by celebrati ng the Eucharist.
How transforming it might be if we chose to see the
dinner table as an altar, the presence of God revealed in all
those around us. I pray that we might see in this season all
the moments of Eucharist in our lives, not only during
liturgy or the mes we are praying in chapel.
