On the fourth we all went to feed the fish (yes...the ones pictured above) and to the White Turkey. We all had to make sure we went because this is the last season that you can truly feed the fish (http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/2204). Normally when one speaks of feeding the fish they refer to throwing them bread and watch them as well as the ducks fight for them. But...after this summer you will only be able to feed them game commission approved pellets. Now....why the change in diet all of a sudden I can't say...these fish have been fed bread for as long as I can remember and then some. I have memories of going to feed the fish every summer with my Grandma Lena, which was usually a highlight even for us locals. I still remember when one of my friends referred to the massive quantity of fish as cute. Now...that wouldn't be my descriptor but.....when I think about the wonder and beauty of God's creation I think that could be apt, just takes a bit more concentration to see it in this case. We also got to hear the Fire Cracker Jazz Band perform. They were super good,...though I would have called them more ragtime. They seemed to play a lot of rags, which I didn't complain about. Though I was looking forward to hearing things such as Orange Colored Sky, etc.
