catching up

Been keeping busy here. Spent a few days in VA at my sisters house. yeah!!! It was relaxing and good. Got to see DC...only bad part was falling on a curb cut and wrenching my ankle. But, had a fun tour. Got to see the memorials and take a trolley ride. It was funny riding down the road where they have all teh embessays..the guide went through all of them faster than I could say supercalafragilisticexpealidoucis. He had us all laughing.

Wednesday night my sisters and I went to country night. That was fun..got to learn some dances (well..some of the tamer ones) and do some old ones. Didn't think i'd get to do slapping leather for another million years. They had an easy one to learn that was almost like the electric slide....just was changed up a bit. And I got to see some of the people my sisters talk about hanging out with all the time whihc was good.

Saturday was Jesus Christ Superstar. It is amazing seeing Ted Neeley on stage. He has such an awesome presence. But, he also seems to be so humble. The person who played Judas had to stop us all from clapping for every one else during the curtain call so that he could recongize Ted. Not too often I have found that. It was defiently good...though I must say for soem odd reason..much as I love live theater...theres something about the good ol 1970s film of the musical....love seeing the real desert and stuff.....

This looks to be a busy week. Have an associate spirituality committee meeting on Wednesday. Then on Thursday i'm off to Ohio..going to meet with a VM...and hopefully see one of my friends. I haven't seen her in awhile so..it woudl definetly be a good thing...I sure miss her!!! And of course work! I am definetly missing weekend Masses at my home. Seems like either i'm working, we're away..or I end up having to go to one of the other local churches with everyone because my sisters are home..not that I mind...but..... I miss home.....even though I get there during the week....I still miss Sundays there...

Last month I got to see Westside Story at the Caroseul. It was totally awesome!! Though not quite the same being off to the side...couldn't see everyone. it was neat thought...also got to think of all of my Cursillo peeps.....they had a picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Maria's room...or as she ended up becoming on one tired day...Our Lady of Gaucamole! :) I sure miss Dar....I need a good laugh and jolt of her energy! It was funny I was drinking water like it was goign out of stlye.....our waitress jokingly 'cut' me off. Good memories....I sure miss being there with my grandma.....she always fed my love for the theater...making sure we got to a show a summer for much of elementary and high school.
