Drop by lasagna!

Well............................I am super pumped!!!!!!!! I have been trying to figure out how to surprise one of my favorite Priests with lasagna and i finally figured out how to do it!!! And I have someone on the bandwagon to help me with said surprise. What would I do without Fr. John??? I always enjoy having co-conspirators.

Now......for the lasagna story. It all began at a silent retreat some years ago. Fr. Mark was giving a homily for Mass one of hte evenings. (I think it may have actually be the evening we celebrated the Liturgy for Holy Thursday during hte retreat.) He had us all up around the Altar and was giving his homily using the psalm...Taste and See the Goodness of the Lord. Well...we had happened to have Stouffers Lasagna that night or the evening before for dinner and to bring home the fact that God is in the everydayness of our lives he reminded us that the goodness of the Lord even takes like Stouffers Lasagna at times. And corney as it sis....that has always stuck with me and will pop in my head as a reminder when I start feeling like God is distant and not really caring about what is going on...always reminds me that he is there...in the everyday things...just have to look for it... aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh................and it also connected with a homily several years later that he gave about Eucharist. (incidently the homily involved a tale of shared PB&J sandwhiches.) Not sure why Fr. Mark became my food thinker...but......he did...and my fellow Ignatian thinker. Something I appreciate even more now that several communities I am looking at have a strong Ignatian Sprituality.
