Community Happenings

It has been a full week in the life of this Novice. I had some time away on vacation and had the opportunity to visit my sisters in Virginia and spend some time at my mom and dad's house; a bit closer to home. In the midst of all of that I have been continuing the search for a full time ministry, having a couple of interviews..prayers please..so..we shall see.

The beginning of this week one of our sisters passed away. Anastasia was a dynamic...moving...visionary force in our community. She will be greatly missed. I so valued her wisdom and she taught me a lot about community, I suspect, without even knowing it. She was always able to think of and be concerned for her sisters in community and her family no matter how she was feeling. I know she is praying with us and for us as we enter this time of discerning our future.

As if that all were not enough...we are also in the midst of a community weekend. Today was all about prayer. Really, it was a vibrant prayer experience led by our spirituality interest group. It was a dynamic day of quiet, reflective, prayer and listening to God's spirit and to one another as we begin to discern what some next steps in the future might be. And so we say yes to all that might be, not knowing exactly what that will be.
